Hero Pools and Map Pools banner
Competitive Open Queue

This new Competitive Mode will run for roughly four weeks. It will use standard Competitive Play rules, including hero pools and one hero limit, but will have no role restrictions or role queues.

Unifying the Hero Pools

This allows both the Overwatch League and Competitive Play to mirror each other as closely as possible and make a more consistent viewing and play experience.

Retiring Map Pools

The rotating Map Pools is no longer available to simplify the competitive experience. Instead, Competitive Play includes all of the maps, with the exception of Paris and Horizon Lunar Colony. Those two maps are being updated and will be back in the pool in the future. Read the blog post for more details.

See you in Overwatch!
